Beach Photos and the Annual Sabbatical
Now that I have a moment to myself…
Last week I made the annual trip to the coast with my family, specifically to Padre Island, just across the big bridge from Corpus Christi, Texas.
Of course, much fun was had by all, even though work forced me to come back after only two nights at the Island House. You know, for as much work as I do, I really should be making more money.
We wanted to go to the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus, but we ran out of time. I want to grab the boy and head back in a couple weeks to check it out. I haven’t been to the aquarium in about six years, and I hear they have a lot of new stuff.
Anywho..
Here are a few shots from our day at the beach. All were taken with a Leica M6 except for “Travelers on the beach” which was shot with a Hasselblad EL/M . Yes, they were all shot on FILM – remember that stuff, bitheads?).

We don’t know who’s boat that was…

Family time is so important, Im glad you got a chance to take it easy and enjoy your time with your kid. The aquarium sounds great, I hope you can make it out there.
As far as working to hard and not getting paid enough….. that sucks mate. I have singed two freelancer agreements for two different papers, no way could I make a living doing that, so, I made a business choice to take on as many weddings a year as I can handle. YOu know what? I kinda like them, I shoot them my way and shoot what I like, it’s fun and the money is great.
I have a 5d in my hands right now, it’s damn strange to shoot with.
I’ll let you know how that goes.
Peace
I hear you, man. You can’t make much of a living shooting news, trust me on that.
It’s good that you like shooting those weddings, because you sure are good at them. You’re going to make a killing, lol…
I’m also trying to book a lot of weddings right now so I can make some coin. We’ll see how that goes.
Stay in touch…
